"Something eating tomatoes..Snake?"

Hi, I live in Arkansas and I have been finding tomatoes that have been eaten and some times they will have two markings on them where two teeth plunged into them.Could this be snakes? I've seen snakes in the garden (cotton mouths) We also have squirrels, rabbits, possoms, and coons in the area. Thanks very much, Marshal

   Hi,
Even though we haven't heard of snakes eating tomatoes it doesnt' mean they weren't trying yours. Snakes eat berries so I guess they could try your toms too. I do think they prefer critters though.
Diane

   Thyanks for the reply Diane.
Does anyone know what would leave marks on tomatoes like two fang marks of a snake?
Thanks, Marshal
