"summer squash"

This is the first year I've grown yellow squash from seed and the first few squash I've gotten have had bumps on them (like when you leave them on the vine too long) but these are only a few days old and still small. Is there a variety that is bumpy from the beginning? We have had a great deal of rain this year could that be the reason for the bumps?

   HI,
I used to see summer squash that was bumpy but haven't seen them in years. Do you still have the seed packet with a picture on it to see if you have a bumpy type?

I am not familiar with bumps caused by too much rain. I have experienced the blossom end rotting when we have too much rain though.

Hope you still enjoy them.
Diane
