   Hi Walter,

The only place I have seen it is from 'Johnny's' www.johnnyseeds.com or 207-437-4301. I think it is strange that only Johnnys has Zephyr, it is the absolutley best summer squash we have ever tasted. I have customers that also agree with that statement.

Have you tried their zucchini called Costata Romanesco? It is superior to regular zucchini for firmness and flavor. I don't even bother with other types. (It doesn't produce as heavily though.)

I am so glad you sent in a question about it because somehow I missed ordering Zephyr when I placed my orders weeks ago. I all ready have people reminding me that they want extra squash this year and I would be in big trouble if I didn't have Zephyr.

I am trying something new this year called Magda. It is a middle eastern type for stuffing and have some friends at church requesting it.

Do you have a favorite broccoli? I wasn't too impressed last year with ours (could have been the hot dry summer) and was wondering if there is one that you have found superior.

Bye, Diane

Hi Walter, If your customers could only taste the difference between regular zucchini and Costata Romanesco they wouldn't mind that it looks a little strange. Old habits die hard.

Thanks for the tip about the broccoli. Do you feel they are the best for you? My broccoli last year HATED the hot drought we had even though they were mulched well and received plenty of water from me. I thought the cultivar I had picked was really bad until it cooled off and the rain returned. Then it acted normal. But I don't want to grow it again, there are others that don't have such a hissy fit about warm weather.

Bye, Diane
