   How do you know when seeds are mature enough to plant. Thank you.

   Hi John,
Marigold seeds form in the dried up blossom, like most other flowers. They are mature when the pod is dry to the touch and seeds easily pull out of the top. They will have brown, black, and tan colors on them. If you see green the seeds aren't mature yet.
