"marigold seeds"
 
   must marigold seeds be dried for any length of time before planting ?

   Hi,
I don't think they need to be "dried" as in bone dry. But they do need to be fully mature. By the time they are fully mature they will be dry enough. That is unless they were just rained on. But still that shouldn't matter too much unless you tried to store them wet. Don't ever store seeds that aren't fully dry, they will mold.
