"Glue on Floor"

Hi, We just installed a new laminate floor. We really like it but can’t seen to get the glue off in places. We have tried acetone but this didn’t work. Any suggestions?

Thank-you, Mike G.

Hi Mike, The maker of your laminate floor should have a product for removing the glue. If they don't, Pergo has one called 'After Installation Cleaner.' You can dilute it for cleaning small smears. If you have globs of glue, you use it full strength. Directions are on the bottle.
Bye, John

Hi Tammy, You have to be careful about the glue removers that you can buy because they can also remove the finish on your floor. Try peanut butter. Work it in and the oil in it will disolve the sticky substance.

Bye, Diane

Hi again, It is the oil in the peanut butter that dissolves the stickiness. You can try just regular cooking oil also.
