Question Hay, How do you keep your mints from spreading across your whole garden, and yard!!??!?!?!?!?!

Answer Hi Martty, That is a hard question! As far as I know the only way to keep them from spreading everywhere is to not have them in your yard. You can spray with herbicides but that is harmful to all the other critters around such as worms, birds, many things you don’t see underground or with the naked eye, etc.

I have seen landscape edging used but they eventually even escape that. Not allowing mint to “go to seed” will slow the spreading down. Do this by cutting off all flowers. Happy Gardening, Hoot
