Why do I have a web site? I have seen children that don’t know any better kill or torture things that scare them, (like spiders, snakes and toad, etc) because they simply don’t understand how important those creatures are to the environment. If we lost all those creatures, the world would change for the worse.
At the organic farm I live at, everyone that comes out is instructed to not kill spiders. Spiders seem to be one of the scariest things to the general public. They don’t like snakes either but snakes aren’t as common to see as spiders. So their first instinct is to KILL! What a shame, if we don’t have spiders on the organic farm destructive insects will eat all the food they are growing for the people.
Even hornets are important. I have witnessed with my own eyes hornets plucking little green cabbage looper worms from broccoli and kale to eat or share with their larvae. Wow! In chemical farming they just spray the food with poison chemicals to kill those worms; so when people eat the broccoli, or whatever, they put poison in their bodies. Then they have physical problems they don’t even know are caused by the poisons.
Why ask me questions? Well, if you wouldn’t have asked the above question then you wouldn’t have gotten me to answer. When people ask questions, that is when they can learn a lot, if they want to learn and listen. Usually someone wants to learn and listen if they took the time to ask a question.
