Question My mom has a plant called the lilly of the nile. When can I take the seeds from it and how. And when do I plant tem so I can have a baby plant next year

Hi Dylan,

There are two different plants called Lily of the Nile and each of those appears to be bulbs. If yours in a bulb then you aren't likely to be able to grow more from seed. Bulbs usually propagate through growing new "babies" alongside the mother bulb. The plant needs to be healthy and happy with the right light, temperature, water, etc. conditions to grow a baby. And once there is a little bulb on the way it can take a long time to get it to maturity to flower.

Does you plant have a "bulb" near or in the ground? If you don't have a bulb, then try to get me the latin name of the plant so I know what your mom's plant looks like.

Happy Growing!
