It is hard to say how much longer you will need to wait for your corn because some corn can take around 65 days (about 2 months) and other types will take 94 days (about 3 months)
Unless you are growing that silly little baby corn (35 days)!!!
Six inches and skinny sounds like you need to wait awhile longer. Wrap your hand around an ear. It should feel 'full', not skinny. YUMM!! Summer corn, that's good stuff!
